First Impressions

Skittish and unassuming, Cornelius has the nervous energy of a critter deprived of his burrow, his confidence hidden under layers of hand-wringing and not-always-successful attempts to blend with the tapestry... unless his Civil Servant side is somehow provoked, at which point his competence takes over for his lack of confidence.Physically as well he does not stand out for much, a hairy little man with a soft belly and a noticeable (in Eorzea) third eye, usually hidden under a beret or properly waxed hair.

First Impressions

Fierce and stubborn, Annia is not the most tactful person and very hard to agree with for most. She lives in a black-and-white, dog-eat-dog world of her own and the only way to reach her seems to be having the patience of explaining things in her language and the grit not to be eaten.

Soft-spoken and friendly yet proper and gallant, Claudius is like a knight out of a fairy tale. Understanding and open-mindedness are also qualities one can attribute to him.

Born second of four siblings in a middle-class family, Cornelius never wanted for anything growing up, and while that can be seen in how he talks about them and some of his behaviours, somehow, where he'd been until his fourteenth Nameday is something a scarce few would know. It is as if he appeared out of nowhere: a secret child who, hearing it from neighbors, teachers, and relatives, has lived outside the Capital; returning home only after his sister Amarantha was lost in a terrible blizzard and never found again.After dropping out of the Magitek Academy, in his last year, to accept a desk job as a civil servant with fewer honours but that would have allowed him to better take care of his aging parents while his remaining siblings joined the army to help the war effort, he's lived a quiet life split between the Capital and a small village at the edge with the Magna Glacies, Laterum, better known by the Allied forces as Camp Broken Glass.When the Empire fell, he was in the Capital, and for the long months between that horrendous night and the days in which the Alliance, spearheaded by the Warrior of Light, finally laid Anima low and then returned to save them from the fiery rains of the Final Days, he huddled together with the other refugees of the Tertium train station, mostly helping to bring comfort to the wounded and ailing as a volunteer and doing which odd jobs needed doing and he was capable of performing.Currently, he lives in Ishgard with his friend, Vitus, where he has worked as an assistant and secretary to a noblewoman and her husband for a spell, tutor in letters and arithmetics for his landlord's children, and is the accountant for the Scholar's Virtue among other places.
He often also writes home with pieces of info he thinks could be useful to his compatriots, whether they want to stay or follow the countless others who, like him, are looking for new stability in a foreign land, not as conquerors, but as citizens.

Annia, just like her older siblings, had everything a child could want for. Loving parents, good education and no material wants... even so, growing up she was infamous in the neighbourhood for her violent outbursts and stubborn, reckless behaviours, a black sheep in a model family.When she turned twelve she started her formal education as a medicus, and that seemed to calm her down, the trade something she took to easily and efficiently and at sixteen, graduated from the Academy, she entered the IIIrd Legion as one of its medici, where she would be a fairly valuable asset (excluding a few minor hiccups, mostly due to a fairly promiscuous nature).When Garlemald fell, she was among the members of the IIIrd that got tempered and were sent to patrol the Magna Glacies, where she was later found, subdued and cured with her other comrades by the Ilsabardian Contingent.Currently, she's still in Garlemald and has no intention of leaving, working hard to help the other refugees find their stability and to rebuild the capital.

Born in Garlemald to an ancient family, digging its roots in the first Republic, Claudius counts many ancestors of renown, an enviable pedigree for an unenviable birthright.Growing up first of six siblings, he's known responsibility and duty since a young age, which, together with his military upbringing, shaped his view of the world, a model son and model soldier who enlisted in the Ist Legion as soon as he was out of school, vowing to serve the Emperor for the good of the Country and his countrymen and women, where he climbed up the ranks up to becoming a Decurion for his obedience and perseverance.Another thing he did as soon as he graduated, was that of getting married to one of his sweethearts, an ex-classmate, to raise her child as his own. The wedding was happy for the few years it lasted before relentless illness took his Vipsania away.Currently, he's still in Garlemald, aiding the refugees between Tertium and Senatus, as he's done since the fall of Garlemald.
